Lord of the Flies Response

Individuals are basically evil and must constantly fight against their violent nature

Image result for evil I disagree with this particular statement because I believe it is an overstatement of how evil people can be. Individuals are not born unconditionally evil or violent. The choices they decide and situations they are put in indicates the nature of their behavior. Some of the behaviors of individuals are not all evil or violent therefore I believe they do not have to constantly fight to stay civil.

Individuals will go along with any type of activity, no matter how violent, when pressured by their peers. In the kind of society we live in currently, I do agree. The glorification of being different nowadays is often correspondent to being different alone which people are scared of. The risk of being alone by being different is overpowered by just going along with what your peers want to do.
The human race is destined to destroy itself. I disagree because we have come a very long way in adapting to a more complex way of thinking. Currently people are rather more open-minded and less traditional about a variety of things so we can prevent such tragedy.
Rules and punishments are absolutely necessary if we are to maintain a civilized society. Yes I believe so because without order, our society might turn into chaos. If there are no rules people can do whatever they want and that freedom can be taken advantage of and abused. People like the idea of having the liberty to do what they want but there are restrictions and consequences towards that privilege to prevent danger.
We are our worst enemy. I agree because most conflicts usually occur between a person and another and if not resolved it can turn to be the worst. The saying "we are our worst critique" does hold some truth within each individual because everyone knows what they are capable of doing. It is just up to us to decide what to do.

Themes Of Macbeth

Ambition- it is the strong desire to achieve a goal usually through hard work and persistence. Ambition is usually accommodated by success and determination. People are driven by ambition to attain certain objections.
ex. My brother's ambition was to attain his "L" license.
ex. My ambition for this year is to be able to have good grades in all my classes.

Fate and Free Will- ability to think, behave, speak and make decisions freely and voluntarily. Free will is when a person is able to control their life without having many limitations or conditions that would restrict them from doing so. Meanwhile fate is determined by circumstances that has happened in the past.
ex. He went to the movies without consent but of his free will.
ex. Her fate was determined by her parents.

Appearance and Reality- appearance tends to be what people want to see rather than what it actually is which is defined by reality. Things appear differently to a variety of people because of their individual mindsets so then the appearances tend to be more biased within each person. Reality defines what something really is with fair judgment.
ex. The building appeared taller than its actual height.
ex. I wish Narnia became a reality and not just a story.

King Duncan Monologue

What possible deed could I have done to be met by such a cruel fate? Macbeth, how merciless could your actions be. Deep in my slumber where I was at most peace, your once brave hands I never knew could be so deadly. How foolish was I to honour you with such a prideful title? To think I had walked upon what I thought was your welcoming home and castle. Only to be greeted with my last breath. That night I caught a glimpse of how truly fearful your eyes were. I'm astonished as to how you could do such a murderous crime. A crime against a man who thought your loyalty would last an eternity. To a man who thought highly of you. To a man who was your king. This betrayal runs deep and ineveitably time will tell the truth of how my fate cane to be. Macbeth, you will not escape your faults. Your unfortunate soul will soon follow mine in the depths of heaven or hell. Mercy would not come to you but brutality that you have showed me, you will encounter.

Superstitions and the Supernatural

Currently now in the 21st century many still believe in various superstitions. Superstitions that date as far back as during the ancient times. One of the most old and common superstitions known today is the "Black Cat Superstition". Black cats nowadays are considered bad luck but as a specific owner of  one I think it is untrue. Back during ancient times in Egypt, cats were considered special and very significant. Many people especially cared for them for they thought they were associated with gods. As time progresses during the Middle Ages in Europe that is when people began to think cats especially black cats were bad luck. Many thought that cats back then were accompanying witches and assisting them with witch craft. The hysteria for witch craft during the Middle Ages impacted the reputations for these feline creatures. It created such a memorable impact that some people today still believe in such a superstition.

I am a girl

I am a girl.

Hey,
I'm not a cook
Or your personal maid
And I don't live in the kitchen
Or own a thousand clothes
Or clean the house every second
I don't know everything about
fashion, shoes or celebrities
Although some do and that is okay
I have feelings not PMS
And I can proudly say we can vote just like men do
Equality not oppresion
And we are not weak but strong
We can wear leggings for as many days as we want
And we are not afraid to break a sweat
Lazy and bad hair days happen
Surprise we are people too!
My name is Nicole and I am a girl
